A Heartfelt Journey Through "SCENE TO SCHEME": Vero's Experience

Recently, I had the chance to dive into the world of youth work and social entrepreneurship through a truly special program called "SCENE TO SCHEME." Held in the beautiful Kotlina Kłodzka, Poland, this program was unlike any other. It was crafted to bolster the skills of young leaders like myself, with a strong focus on improvisational education techniques—a way to blend creativity with practical learning.

A Melting Pot of Ideas and Cultures

The "SCENE TO SCHEME" program gathered 32 of us—youth workers from Poland, Cyprus, Spain, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, and Romania. Each of us brought our unique perspectives and backgrounds, turning our meetups into rich, eye-opening discussions and a lot of shared laughs and learnings. The main aim? To nurture an entrepreneurial spirit through the art of improvisation, pulling from the worlds of theatre and on-the-spot creativity.

Learning by Doing

What set this program apart was how hands-on it was. Forget about sitting back and zoning out—every session was about getting stuck in. We jumped right into workshops, role-plays, and real-life scenarios that weren't just about learning skills but also about sharing our own experiences and dreaming up future ventures together.

It was particularly moving to see the inclusivity of the program. Many participants came from challenging backgrounds, and this diversity only enriched our interactions, underscoring the program's commitment to building a more inclusive, understanding society.

Real Skills for Real Change

The learning didn’t just stop at the end of the day. We were all encouraged to take our new skills and insights and think about how we could turn them into real-world projects. This proactive push meant that everything we learned was geared towards making an immediate impact in our personal and professional lives.

Bridging Barriers

With such a diverse group, English was our lingua franca. This choice helped us not just communicate effectively but also added an extra layer to our learning, enhancing our ability to express ourselves and connect across cultures.

Personal Reflections

Participating in "SCENE TO SCHEME" truly opened my eyes. It pushed me beyond my comfort zones and gave me a solid ground in improvisational education, showing me how powerful it can be in not just personal development but also in sparking real change in social entrepreneurship.

Looking back, I feel incredibly lucky to have met so many passionate people, all united by a desire to make a difference. Working together, sharing ideas, and pushing each other to be better—these experiences have left a lasting imprint on my heart.

The Road Ahead

"SCENE TO SCHEME" was more than just a program—it was the beginning of a journey for all of us. Armed with new skills and friendships, we’re now more ready than ever to bring about positive change in our communities. The days in Poland were just the start; what comes next is up to us, and I’m excited for the journey ahead.

This program wasn't just a learning experience; it was a deep dive into what it means to connect, create, and lead in today’s world. And for that, I’m truly grateful.
